Cisco WS-C3750-48PS-S features a stacking architecture optimized for Gigabit Ethernet, designed to handle additions, removals, and re-installations while maintaining consistent performance. The Cisco StackWise technology utilizes stack interconnect cables and stacking software to combine up to 9 standalone switches into a single virtual switching unit. These switches can be integrated with other Cisco 3750 and 3750E switches. The stack operates as a single switch, managed through a master switch that is also a member of the stack. The master switch automatically creates and updates the routing and switching tables. An active stack can add new power without interrupting the stacking process or remove its older members seamlessly.
