Cisco VIC-2E/M Overview

Cisco VIC-2E/M Voice Interface Card (VIC) is a Router Card. This module has voice support and can be used for WAN or data connection. Cisco 2600 series offers 10/100 Ethernet ports for most platforms. Combining AIMs and WICs with network modules provides more flexibility. The two port E&M voice interface card for Cisco voice/fax network modules is used to connect to PBX or key system trunk lines. This voice interface card works with existing phone and fax equipment to provide voice and fax services over IP, and is compatible with H.323 standard for audio and videoconferencing.

The Router Supported Platforms & Minimum IOS Versions: 3745 – 12.2(8)T, 3725 – 12.2(8)T, 3660 series – 12.0(5)T, 3640 – 11.3(1)T, 3620 – 11.3(1)T, 2691 – 12.2(8)T1, 2600XM series – 12.2(8)T1, 2600 series – 11.3(1)T, 1760 – 12.2(2)XK, 1751 – 12.1(5)YB and Compatibility: NM-1V Network Module, NM-2V and Network Module Supported Platforms: 3745, 3725, 3660 series, 3640, 3620, 2691, 2600XM series, 2600 series, 1760, 1751. This architecture is extensible to integrate advanced services such as hardware data, compression, encryption, voice, ATM.
