This category of modules provides voice and data, analog and digital capabilities to integrated routers 2800, 2900, 3800, 3900. This module allows companies and organizations to connect directly to public switched telephone networks (PSTN) and traditional telephone equipment.
As a fully integrated component of the Cisco Unified Communications solution including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Cisco IP Phones, Cisco Unity Unified Messaging software, Cisco IP Contact Center (IPCC) and the entire line of Cisco IP Communications products, the module Cisco IP Voice/Fax Networks are the cornerstone of Cisco Unified Communications. When we use this module in a router, the voice network module is a complete solution for the business sector. It supports VoIP, PPPoE protocol and SIP, SCCP VoIP Protocols.

Cisco NM-HD-2V incorporates quality of service (QoS), intelligent network queuing and standards-based encapsulation, and provides direct voice and fax transmission over IP networks. Cisco IOS software solutions enable time-sensitive voice traffic to move even over low-bandwidth WAN connections with the priority and quality that voice and fax require. Transporting voice over IP networks still provides transport flexibility because IP can be routed over many leased WAN technologies, along with a direct connection to the desktop.
