Cisco HWIC-16A Overview

HWIC-16A modules can enable WAN transport aggregation applications for traditional protocols, console servers, dial-up access servers. Customers can solve problems such as remote network management by adapting the modules. Cisco Router High-Speed WAN Interface Card Sixteen asynchronous EIA-232 ports has High-density 8-port connector 230.40 Kbps data rate. It supports X.25, TCP/IP, SDLC. The Router has 32°F (0°C) to 104°F (40°C) operating and -4°F (-20°C) to 149°F (65°C) storage.

High-speed asynchronous interface cards (HWIC) provide good performance for highly flexible connections of the Cisco 1800, 1900, 2800, 2900, 3800, 3900 series integrated services routers. Asynchronous ports allow access to EIA-232 devices on a TCP/IP network by providing flexible connections. This feature allows you to manage networks of remote devices from a central location. 8-port and 16-port HWICs use one or two high-density 8-port connectors. RJ-45-to-DB-25 modular adapters are used to convert an RJ-45 to DB-25 DTE or DB-25 DCE connection. It supports DCN (Data Communications Network) and Systems Network Architecture (SNA).This product has 10% to 90% Non-condensing Relative Humidity.
